Loved for every part of the journey

A rested version of my age

"I'm 49 and for a year I looked permanently exhausted, people kept asking if I'd slept badly. A friend swore by this retinal specifically, not just another retinol. Six weeks in, my skin feels like it's holding itself again. Not miracle territory, I just look like a rested version of my age."

  • Dani R.UT, US Verified

    Finally calmed the dryness

"I read a lot on how skin can react when on GLP so I got this to help it. The cream's the part I didn't expect to love, first thing that's properly calmed the dryness. The retinal I build up a few nights a week."

  • Megan P.TX, US Verified

    The two-step actually works

"I'm fussy and I've wasted a lot of money, so I assumed this was more of the same. The two-step sounds like marketing but isn't, the cream stops my face revolting at the retinal, which is why I usually quit retinoids. I've been using it for 3 months now ish and the crepey skin around my mouth has softened."

  • Claire T.CO, US Verified

Firmer and a lot less fed-up

"I caught myself on a video call and didn't recognise the tired woman looking back. That was the push. I'm not saying it undid anything, but my skin looks firmer and a lot less fed-up."

  • Joanne M.FL, US Verified

The barrier cream made it possible

"My skin turned reactive in my fifties, stinging at things that never bothered it before, so I was nervous about a retinal at all. The barrier cream made it possible, I layer it first when my skin feels fragile. Smoother now, no more flaring. Only gripe: I run through the cream faster than I'd like."

Why not other retinoids? Or fillers?

Weight loss changes skin in ways the right skincare routine can help, and ways it can't. We're honest about both.

    BENEFITS

    Renews at speed

Encapsulated retinal works on fine lines, crepey texture and firmness, fast enough to keep pace with skin that is changing quickly.

    Firmer, smoother skin

In clinical studies, retinaldehyde improved skin texture, elasticity and hydration while reducing water loss.

    Protects a fragile barrier

Ceramides, panthenol and squalane cushion skin that has turned thin, tight and reactive, so it feels comfortable and resilient again.

    How to Use

    Morning

Apply the Barrier Cream to clean skin. Follow with SPF every day, as retinal increases sun sensitivity.

    Night

We recommend first performing a small patch test to see how your skin reacts. Apply 3 to 4 drops of the Retinal Serum to clean, dry skin.

    Building up

Start the serum 2 to 3 nights a week. As your skin adjusts, build toward every other night, then nightly. Tip: begin on your dose day, so it is easy to remember.

    If skin feels sensitized

Drop back a step and use the Barrier Cream alone for a few nights. Some dryness or flaking in the first few weeks is normal as skin adjusts. Not for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

    The 8-week promise

Comfort and hydration often improve in the first week or two. Firmness and texture take longer, which is why we give you a full eight weeks to judge it properly.

Use Pace Match as directed for eight weeks. If your skin does not look or feel firmer, smoother or more comfortable, contact us and we will refund you in full.

All we ask is a photo at the start and one at the end, so we can see what your skin did. It takes a minute, and it is how we learn what works.

    DORÉ & BLANC - FOUNDER'S NOTE

"Built for our skin, by someone who needed it too"

I lost the weight, then barely recognized my face. RetinOL helped, but nothing was built for skin changing this fast, or gone this thin and reactive. So I made what I couldn't find: fast enough to keep pace, gentle enough to protect. Doré & Blanc was built for our skin, by someone who needed it too.

    Questions?

    Does it contain glp-1?

No. Pace Match is skincare, not medication, with no GLP-1 or any drug in it. It's made to support your skin during weight loss.

Do I have to be on a GLP-1 to use it?

No. It's formulated for helping skin that's either changing or changed. It could be regular GLP-1 users, those just starting, or anyone who experiences similar skin issues.

Will this replace filler or fix facial volume loss?

No, and we won't pretend otherwise. Facial volume is fat and structure, which no cream can rebuild. Doré & Blanc supports firmness, texture, and comfort, which is where a daily protocol genuinely helps. If it's volume you want back, that's a conversation with a clinician.

    Why retinal instead of retinol?

Retinal (retinaldehyde) is one conversion step from the active form your skin uses. Retinol takes two. That makes retinal a faster-acting retinoid, which suits skin that's changing quickly, while staying gentler than a prescription. We encapsulate it so it works without overwhelming thin skin.

Will it be too strong for thin skin?

It's built for exactly this skin. You start slow, 2 to 3 nights a week, and build up as your skin adjusts, and the barrier cream cushions and buffers the serum so you can build tolerance faster than with a retinal alone. If skin ever feels sensitized, drop back a step and let it settle.

Is it normal to break out or flake at first?

It can happen. As a retinoid speeds up cell turnover, some people see temporary purging or dryness in the first few weeks, usually settling within a month or so. Going slowly and sealing with the barrier cream keeps this to a minimum. If irritation is severe or lasts beyond six weeks, pause and check with your doctor.

When will I see a difference?

Comfort and hydration often improve in the first week or two. Firmness and texture take longer, which is why the guarantee runs a full eight weeks. Retinoids keep improving skin over months of consistent use, so the longer you stay with it, the more you'll see.

How do I use the two products together?

Barrier cream every morning, followed by SPF. At night, retinal serum on clean, dry skin, then seal with the barrier cream. Start the serum a couple of nights a week and build toward nightly.
